Never let circumstances out of your control affect your disposition. Turkish airlines couldn’t have mishandled my flight much worse, they caused me to miss it, I had to pay additional fees, spent the whole night in the airport awake, and didn’t get to my original destination of Alexandria, Egypt. Life throws you situations, try to find the positive in each one. I bought a stay in the luxury lounge at the airport, had a Fantastic shower, some cocktails, and food gained another Ambassador, and made the flight at 6 am.
I now find myself in Cairo. Fantastic. Let me describe where I write this blog, I’m sitting on the balcony of my hostel and below me is massive traffic, never two seconds without a horn honking, literally, people walking in the streets avoiding the sidewalk for some reason, a horse-drawn carriage just rolled by. It’s 4 pm on a comfortably warm afternoon.
Across the street is a large museum which I look forward to filming for my Be Fantastic YouTube show. I must tell you that I have NEVER heard such horn honking in my life. I’ve been to New York and major cities like Ssn Paola but Cairo takes the cake. I have not been able to count to two without a horn honking. During my 206 days traveling on the Be Fantastic world tour I’ve been in Idyllic country settings in places like Coeur de Alene Idaho with pristine silence and I’ve now discovered the polar opposite, Cairo. It doesn’t bother me in the least by the way, like a baby crying on a plane for some reason I’m not letting ANYTHING bother me.
I will consider this the cacophony of noise music. Now as you know I always say every day you make left and right turns and you MUST look at each turn as the best turn you made. Now in the airline situation, they made a turn for I had they not I wouldn’t have met Tika my 704th Ambassador, I interviewed him this morning before checking in, he is a fantastic person, we need more like him and it still amazes me how lucky I am to run into people like him and have them join the movement.
