In my 270th day of traveling and spreading the Be Fantastic movement I asked a young lady in the middle of Old Market in Sharm el Sheikh Egypt how she was doing. She replied “Terrible.” She told me she flew to Sharm from Latvia to surprise her boy friend with a week together. Unfortunately she was the one surprised when she showed up and found him with another woman, she was heart broken. Well I thought it’s time for Dr. Fantastic to work some magic, I said “That’s Fantastic news” and as a life coach, philosopher and motivational speaker I gave her advice and of course the Be Fantastic speech. What I really convinced her to understand the reason it was Fantastic news is that she caught the piece of shit now instead of ten years down the line. I explained to her to look at all the positives, she is young, pretty, healthy and now single which means she can focus on herself. The number one commitment to being a Fantastic person is being kind to yourself, love and accept yourself as you are. She wept and I gave her a hug and told her to let it go.
After a few minutes of more positivity and motivation she was happy. What I will never forget is just before we parted she said “Last night I prayed for a Angel to come into my life, and you are my Angel” This really made my day, month actually. I do help a lot of people and often but this encounter was truly Fantastic. If I didn’t document my Be Fantastic road tour for the last 275 days no one would believe what luck I have had. To that point yesterday a vendor sitting outside his shop in the same spot in Old Market called to me “Dr. Fantastic may I ask you why you are doing this?” He had received my flyer last week introducing the Be Fantastic movement and then witnessed my encounter with the Latvian girl. I replied:
“The world needs to be reminded to be kind and my mission was to teach the young folks and remind the old folks about being kind.”
He told me how he witnessed my 5 minute encounter, I immediately recorded his reaction to my encounter with the girl for a YouTube testimonial. He said she visited his shop after I spoke to her and he saw happiness in her eyes. He was very happy to meet me and see me in action.
It was amazing to get a testimonial from him. These are the moments that keep me moving forward with the Be Fantastic movement, now with 897 Ambassadors of Positivity, over 2800 viewers on YouTube and a lot of people loving the movement. I just now received an email from the young lady in this story:
“Hey doctor. I want say you big thanks for being right time right moment. I was in so deep dark moment of my life, lost meaning to stay alive, but you showed light, and hope. Bad people are in world, but there lots of good too. Thanks and stay fantastic.” If my work, my YouTube videos, my podcasts, my radio show or my advice can make but one person smile each day I am going to continue the mission.
What you want to be, you can be, be kind.
