As I sit here sipping a cup of tea, overlooking the red sea at sunrise on december 30, 2020 in sharm el sheikh egypt contemplating life I felt the urge to write a blog. 2020 Is one of those years that will be remembered forever, life for so many has changed and I want to believe in the end it will be for the better. I think that this year awakened many people in hopefully positive ways. Being forced to stay at home with the family for some was very rare and brought them together and to realize its all about family. People will learn that working from home is possible, the many benefits that come from that are perhaps you really don’t need a car, that alone will save money, reduce pollution and make life a little easier. Restaurants and public places are cleaner, there are free hand sanitizers everywhere. I’ve been traveling now for 270 days creating videos on youtube of national parks, zoos, museums, fantastic interviews and there were no crowds making the videos better and hopefully bringing knowledge and entertainment for those sequestered, quarantined and forced to stay at home.
We got through the black plague where 200 million souls died, the spanish flu where another 75 million perished and so we will get through covid19. I hope we learn a lot about ourselves from this time in history as we were given the time and circumstance to reflect on life. I hope greed will somehow be reduced as that is in my opinion what caused the pandemic.
I hope my message of kindness spreads throughout the land, be kind to yourself, be kind To others, be kind to the environment and in order to help make the world a kinder more civil place use the word fantastic instead of the word good.
Fantastic spreads energy, positivity, kindness and love. Say it with conviction and emotion and watch the magic. It works! Think positive about 2021 in every aspect, our minds are powerful tools when we use them.
